Amateur Handout Motor
The Amateur division of the IIC has continued to be a big success and a place for new talent to show their skills. The IIC is proud to announce that Speed Passion will again be the handout 17.5 motor for this class. Speed Passion has been with us for many years and they continue their support of the Amateur class and the IIC. We will be using the 17.5 V3 motor for this year’s event.

Classes

As our summer is in full swing, so are the preparations for another great IIC. As we prepare for the event each year there are so many things that we work on to do what we can to make for the best experience at a race anywhere. As it seems to be each year for the past couple of years, the biggest challenge has been what racing classes to offer.

There are many things we considered when looking at last year’s classes and the vibe of the on-road racing world. The main thing that seems to be taking hold worldwide is Stock 17.5 racing with no boost. We were the first to witness what this boost can do to racing as we were the first event to be challenged by racers with this new technology that was not available to the masses. We saw the difference it makes and in just a few years we have watched it continue to progress and get Stock 17.5 racing moving at speeds that used to be considered modified. So we will offer a Stock 17.5 class with no boost. On the flip side there are racers that enjoy using this technology/advancements and love racing at those speeds. So, just like last year, we will also offer a Stock 17.5 class with boost.

As you look at the classes that will be offered at this year’s IIC, I am sure there will be a class that you will enjoy racing.

Schedule

This year’s activities start on Sunday October 2nd with the 2nd annual “All In” Poker Tournament. On Monday you can check-in starting at Noon with pit setup starting shortly thereafter. Tuesday will start the first actual track practice time with the First Round starting on Thursday. We will wrap up the mains on Saturday.

We will do everything in our power to provide you with a structured program so you can plan additional activities while you are in Vegas.

The Hotel requires a one night room deposit plus Clark County Room tax. This deposit may be made by a major credit card, check, or money order. The credit card is charged at the time of the booking. If you are sending a check or money order, the Hotel must receive payment within 14 days of making the room reservation or it will be canceled. The room deposit is refundable, minus any applicable hotel cancelation fees, if your reservation is canceled at least two (2) days prior to arrival.

Welcome to the 2011 IIC

The IIC will be held on October 3 - 8, 2011!

As the world of RC continues to change and evolve, so will the IIC. We have always tried to stay on the cutting edge of technology and trends and this year will be no different. We all know that the current situation of speed control technology is something that is a difficult situation for our hobby. Please be assured that my lead tech official Jamie Tennies and I are working with the industry to find a fair solution to ensure that all racers are on a level playing field at the IIC.

We will again be doing online registration through our website at www.intchamps.com. The date registration will officially be open has yet to be determined.

Many of you will be wanting to know the classes we will be running and rules and such. We are evaluating the current situation of racing and will list all the classes in due time. One class that we will run for sure is Amateur, this has been a true success since its inception 3 years ago and will always be part of the IIC. Again rules for this class and all others will be announced when finalized.
